Getting Started with Voltaire - User

5.1 Jobs & Transactions, an Overview
The main kinds of things (or Sources) that Voltaire keeps track of are Contacts, Artists, Artworks, and Jobs.
A Job is something that can you do with an Artwork, such as shipping the Artwork, or selling the Artwork.
A Transaction is a special kind of a Job that affects an Artwork's State (described in the next section). Transactions are represented in the Sources listbox with a medium blue folder icon.
Jobs that are not Transaction do not affect Artwork State. Jobs are represented in the Sources listbox with a light blue folder icon.
The following is a list of Jobs & Transactions (more fully defined in 3.3 Jobs & Transactions Defined), with an indication of which version(s) of Voltaire handle these Jobs.
