3.5 The Menu Bar
The Voltaire menu bar contains the following menus:
File. The File menu gives you the ability to open another Browser window, create a new Item (Artwork, Contact, etc.), close the current window, or Quit the application.
Edit. The Edit menu gives you some basic commands relevant to the current selection of Items, including viewing or editing Items in their own window, and deleting the selected Items.
Sets. The Sets menu allows you to Create, Edit or Delete Sets, and Add or Remove Items from Sets.
Items. The items menu changes depending on the selected Source. Each of the Items menus are described below.
Utilities. The Utilities menu gives you access to the Quick Contact utility, as well as some administrative functions. These administrative functions will be disabled if you do not have administrative privileges.
Help. The Help menu give you access to the online Unidada Voltaire Documentation, the Unidada Support Forums, and the Unidada Issue Reporting tool. You can also check for updates to Voltaire from the Help menu.
Contacts menu. The Contacts menu provides a command for sending a batch email to selected Contacts, and commands for batch editing a selection of Contacts.
Artworks menu. The Artworks menu provides commands for displaying a slide show; changing the size of the image in the Detail pane; batch editing a selection of Artworks; and creating a new Job - Consignment, Sale, Shipment, etc. - with a selection of Artworks.
Consignments menu. The Consignments menu provides commands for returning or voiding selected Consignments.
Reserves menu. The Reserves menu provides commands for removing or voiding selected Reserves.
Offers menu. The Offers menu provides commands for withdrawing or voiding selected Offers.
Sales menu. The Sales menu provides commands for setting as paid in full or voiding selected Sales.
Loans menu. The Loans menu provides commands for returning or voiding selected Loans.
Shipments menu. The Shipments menu provides commands for setting as shipped, setting as received, or voiding selected Shipments.
